Pricing

Blue Mountain Design will consult with you at no charge on the objectives, requirements, and goals of your projects. For smaller projects, pricing may be quoted immediately. For larger projects, a written proposal outlining the specifications, timelines, pricing, and terms will be provided. Blue Mountain Design takes pride in providing accurate quotes based on the details of your project so you will have no add-on surprises after the project begins. The following information will help you estimate the cost of your project.

Web Sites

Design and Set-Up -- A basic Web site consisting of 1-5 pages with information that describes your company, the products or services you offer, and your contact information will run approximately $150 to $800. Larger sites with more design elements, e-commerce capabilities, special forms, downloadable files, etc. will likely run $1,000 and up.

Domain Name Registration -- A domain name will allow you to have a Web address such as "yourbusiness.com." The registration fee for a domain name is normally $35 per year, but Blue Mountain Design offers lower pricing beginning at $24 for one year and even less for longer terms. We can register your domain name for a one-time administrative fee of $50. If Blue Mountain Design is contracted to design your site and host it for one year or more, the administrative fee for the registration service will be waived.

Hosting Service -- Hosting is the placing of your Web site onto servers that make it available to the world. Blue Mountain Design provides hosting service for $75 per quarter prepaid. Annual billing is available at the discount price of only $250 per year. If additional fees are required for special services (e.g., real-time credit card purchases), such fees will be included in the written proposal prior to beginning the project.

e-Commerce -- Contact us for pricing on merchant account and payment gateway services.

Search Engine Submission -- When your Web site is completed, Blue Mountain Design will submit it to numerous search engines at no additional charge. To keep your site freshly listed with the search engines, you may request re-submissions on a monthly, quarterly, or as-needed basis for $25 per re-submission session. A $35 set-up fee applies for submission of sites not created by Blue Mountain Design.

Maintenance -- Your Web site will require maintenance and updates as your information changes. Some sites need only occasional updates, while others may need updates monthly, weekly, or even daily. The rate for this service is $50.00 per hour, or a retainer agreement can be arranged. If you want to do updates yourself, Blue Mountain Design can provide training at the costs listed below.

Print Material

Design and/or printing of print materials are quoted on a per-project basis due to the many variables of such projects.

Writing and Editing

Copywriting and editing services are available for your Web site and/or print materials. The following pricing options are available:

  • $50.00 per hour
  • Contracted for a specific project
  • Contracted by retainer

Training

Individualized, one-on-one or small-group training in the use of your computer and software is available at your home or business location. The cost for locations within a 15-mile radius of Mount Carroll, Illinois, is $50 per hour, including transportation. Outside of that area, the cost is $50 per hour plus travel time and expenses. Specialized group training for specific needs will also include charges for research and development of a course syllabus and/or materials.
